Mini Vacation Day 2-3

July 29th and 30th

Tuesday we decided to take it easy so we did a round of mini golf and saw the movie Wallie at the theater in Platteville. Oh I almost forgot my favorite part--lunch at the Chinese restaurant.

We began Wednesday doing something the boys have been asking to for a while---we climbed the Platteville M. I hadn't walked up the M in years--what a great view.

After we had our visit to the M we headed to Dubuque, Iowa and spent the rest of the day at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium.

This was our second visit to the River Museum--our first was about 3 years ago when Luke was a tiny baby. We decided to purchase a family pass good for one year. It was a good deal if we use it--which I intend to this winter and in May when their rotating exhibit changes. We saw and learned a lot about the Mississippi River and its history. Venom was the current temporary exhibit. We saw venomous insects, fish, and snakes--it was a big hit.
